Mina Mekhail is the CEO and Founder of Freshr Technologies. He is a bioengineer by training with a PhD from McGill University. He has 15 years experience in biomaterials innovation and 12 years of entrepreneurial experience. Over the course of his career he has received 37 awards (including EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 - Atlantic) and raised over $10M from VCs, angel investors and non-dilutive funding. Mina is driven to fight the global food waste problem using sustainable active packaging (FreshrPack®) that extends the shelf life of fresh proteins. Freshr Technologies develops sustainable active packaging solutions to extend the shelf life of fresh proteins. Our Purpose is to innovate a zero-food waste future using advanced materials. Our vision for 2030 is to redefine the fresh protein sector globally by delivering 500 million pounds of fresh proteins using our innovative shelf-extension FreshrPack™ technology.
